I would recommend Townsend Energy to anyone that needs help with a furnace.
I had a good experience with Tim Carr and Steve Arniel Abin as well. They worked from 8 to 5 getting us the heat we needed. They answered all questions that I had; they explained what they were doing; they went above and beyond. There was a point where Steve met with the inspector and explained that the tanks were in the right place, and the inspector walked away from him. Steve held his temper and asked the inspector to show him on paper what he was saying, and the inspector just left. The inspector came back the next day and passed the inspection. The inspector, Mr. Page, was wrong to say the tanks were wrong; he was going by the business codes, not residential codes. The gentleman who delivered the gas explained the emergency rundown in case of an emergency. I would recommend Townsend Energy to anyone that needs help with a furnace. Also, Crystal in the office sent two heaters to the house when she found out we didn't have any heat for three days. She acted swiftly. We got the heaters that day. She was also very helpful, saying if we needed anything to please call her day or night. All in all, you have great people working for Townsend.

Townsend brought in the manufacturer and great service teams who eventually solved the installation problems. I actually get great heat upstairs and in a bathroom that was previously cold! They were terrific and stuck with me to resolve it. Office staff is always responsive.

We could not be happier with our new Roth oil tank
One year ago we had our furnace replaced with a Bosch heat pump system. The communication and installation from Townsend Energy was excellent, and we have had zero issues with our new system. When I noticed a pinhole leak in our older oil tank, I called Townsend and they had someone to our door immediately. We had been given an estimate the previous year, so it was very easy to move forward. The installation crew was courteous, thoughtful, and efficient! We could not be happier with our new Roth oil tank and with Townsend Energy for their part. We have been customers of Townsend Energy now for 28 years and have always had great service, communication, and peace of mind.

I recently had to change suppliers and selected Townsend based primarily upon their reviews. Being a new "generator only" propane customer, I have to say that so far I am delighted with the customer service. During my new customer tank inspection, a leak was detected underground that has more than likely been there for many years. The service technician could have finished his inspection and sent me to the scheduling department for a future repair, but instead he called for parts and labor assistance and had me back in service within a few hours. This included digging by hand on a brutally hot day. Who could ask for better service than that! If it weren't for the fact that I have been buying my home heating oil from another company for over 40 years, I would probably swap that as well. Thanks again to the two service techs who helped me out to keep my generator ready to run.

I have been a customer for over 30 years with the monthly service contract in place. Recently, I detected a minor leak in my original oil tank at 8 a.m. Within an hour, a service person was on site and determined the tank would need to be replaced. By 11 a.m., the recovery crew was here to capture the oil to prevent any spillage incident. By 1 p.m., Derrick Brown, the salesperson, was on-site to offer replacement options. We came up with a plan, and new tanks were installed two days later once they arrived with a 30-year warranty and additional capacity. It could not have gone any smoother. Where do I begin. I needed my propane tank moved, I called and spoke to a pleasant lady who put me in touch with Joe. Joe was professional and answered all my questions. He scheduled the tank move around my work schedule. He made sure I was prepared. Superior customer service.
Shane showed up a few days later and laid out options for the tank placement. Again, total professional and an overall pleasant man. He was able to suggest an area to place my tank that I hadn't considered and where it was hidden. Wow.
The day of the move, they needed a tank dolly due to restricted access to my yard. Shane needed to adjust the trench for the line and did so perfectly. Steve showed up and helped remove an obstacle that could have thrown a wrench in the job. Over and above my expectations. Nick brought the tank dolly from a pretty far distance.
To say these guys worked hard to get this tank moved was an understatement. We hit obstacles and in every case they had solutions. Never a complaint and all smiles. They never got frustrated, and were uber careful when moving the tank. I was more than impressed. They were patient, communicative and believe it or not, we had some fun. These guys worked hard, always had a smile and even cracked a few jokes.
Joe followed up with a call the next day to ensure I was happy. Again, wow.
This is the quintessential example of superior customer service and customer focused employees. Townsend is lucky to have such dedicated and customer focused employees. I consider myself lucky to have an energy company that hires this level of employee.
