Great crew from Townsend Oil Feb 17, 2025

I needed a new thermostat this morning and two young technicians soon showed up at my door. I was impressed enough with their very courteous, friendly, and professional manner (and appearance), plus their tutoring on my new thermostat and finally their insistence on my being careful on my icy driveway, which was causing difficulty for their vehicle to exit, that I phoned Townsend Oil to let them know what a great crew they have. It's not the first time I've called about an excellent technician from Townsend Oil! I've had a service contract with them for about ten years.

Our Hats Off to Townsend Feb 7, 2025

On May 5, 2024, our furnace started, stopped, started, stopped, and we had very little heat and zero hot water. We are Townsend customers and buy a service plan every year, thank heavens. First, Frank showed up at the end of his day, assessed the problem, and called in for the night shift to correct the problem. At 6:30, much sooner than we expected, Harry showed up and went right to work. He not only fixed the problem right away (I can't tell you exactly what he did, but he fixed the furnace so it was humming along nicely), but he took the time to explain to me WHY the furnace malfunctioned. He showed me where lint from the clothes dryer had been sucked into the system and clogged it. (The room where the furnace is located is very crowded; we have no basement. The dryer is opposite the furnace, and less than 3 feet away). Harry instructed me to not open the dryer door while it's spinning, because the lint is airborne and gets sucked into the furnace. Problem solved. Case closed. We are so grateful for Frank and Harry, especially since we had no idea that we were the source of the trouble. Our hats off to Townsend once again. You have the nicest technicians and delivery people. I apologize for this late report. I confess I lost the note I wrote to remind myself to thank you for your excellent service. I can’t speak highly enough of my propane technician NUNZIO! From start to finish, the service was nothing short of exceptional. He arrived much earlier than expected, fully prepared, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was working and there were no gas leaks. Not only was he incredibly professional and courteous, but he also took his time to explain every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. He didn’t rush through anything and answered every single question that I had (there were lots of them lol) What stood out most was his commitment to safety—he explained everything clearly and made sure I understood how my system works and even went the extra mile to offer helpful advice about maintaining the system. It’s rare to encounter such a combination of professionalism, expertise, and customer care. I’m beyond impressed with his work ethic and skill level, and I’ll definitely be calling him for any future propane needs. If you’re looking for a technician who is reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and seems to genuinely care about his work, look no further, this is the person you want. Simply outstanding service! This technician is a true asset to the company, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of propane services. 10/10 experience!

Excellent service over many years! Our driveway is notoriously hard in winter. Their drivers communicate with us and ensure that we always have heating oil. Highly recommend.

Townsend had some difficulty sending me a document so I could sign it. When I realized I never did get it and had not signed it, I called and got Stephanie on the phone. She was more than helpful, understood what I was trying to do, and got me the right document within minutes of my calling. She was pleasant on the phone and I felt she really cared about what I needed to get done. She truly has the customer service spirit in her manner. She was a pleasure to work with and it is what is keeping me a customer!
